early years of twentieth century. A farm in the heart of France, young Odilon Anastasius sees a ghost floating over an old cat, connected to a balloon as it swung by the wind. The cat died shortly after. The child comes to discover his terrible gift.
Later, in the streets of Paris, the trenches of the Great War or the wings of the Third Republic, Anastase skirts the crowd of ghosts of those who will die. He will also discover the intoxication of love and power. Until one day he will know in the mirror, with its own balloon ...
This book is a tale that explores the hidden hand of fantasy in everyday life. And that shows that knowledge of the future has less of a dream than a nightmare.
Happiness is unaware of the troubles to come ...

Memento mori. Remember that you will die. Or rather, do not forget that the people whom you love will die. That is what faces Odilon Anastasius, the hero of this short novel, which is doomed to see a ghost floating above the people whose death is near powerless do anything about it. This gift, as he calls it, is more of a curse that will haunt him all his life, preventing him from living fully enjoy the present moment to worry about the future strength.

Memento mori is a tale, a fable about a man who is nowhere in his place. Not totally in the realm of the dead but really most of the living. More in the nineteenth century but not yet in the twentieth. A man who has more in place in rural France but is uprooted in the great city of Paris. Memento mori is a wistful tale about happiness elusive.

This is a book I probably would not have had the idea to play without the partnership with blog-o-book . Fortunately, partnerships AC is also used to make discoveries and that it was very enjoyable. It is not the book of the century but a pleasant reading pleasant and elegant style. Despite the presence of "gift", the story does not really immersed in fantasy. What interests the author, it is not the "gift" in itself but its consequences on the lives of heroes. Thank

editions "The Suns Blues "for the discovery. Thanks also to blog-o-book Partnership.

Citations:
is always the mistake of placing happiness in the future or the past, so that it is actually in this tiny jet of blood ejected by the heart.

How many times can one be miraculously cured? It's simple: each day, until his death. At bottom, the real miracle , that's life.

I glance in the mirror. The Phantom awaits. He's bored, he does not try to read anything, he would strut, a ghost does not passion, not more feelings that a tree which moves in the wind. It does not really form there at the moment, it does not seem to me, right now, it's just a scrap of bad dreams.
