Solve For R In An Annuity

F. Giroud & Bonin - Quintett "The story of Dora Mars

After the saga of the Decalogue with which Frank Giroud brought a fresh wind into the world of comics, the writer is waiting on his new project. Understand! After a project as insane, he could not imagine a story to delve into more basic.
Once again, this talented writer introduces us to one of his experiments. Just follow the fate of characters who have crossed into Macedonia during the First World War. What seemed important was not just some trivial for others. Their common thread? They are part of a musical quintet.

1916 Dora Mars is a cabaret singer trying to make something of his life through to the art of song. Everyone predicted for him a future, but nothing happens. She meets a Casanova who is armed with permission. A story full of love, deception and self-discovery begins. History seems to have implications far more recent times. But we know more with the last volume.

Frank Giroud proves once again that he is a master of the Franco-Belgian comics. While Van Hamme's hard to surprise and Giraud (Moebius) speaks to his retirement, he continues to explore patterns of original narrative. Once again, each album as a story in itself but all take a different dimension once the whole cycle completed. The suspense is well done. Result: we want to know the result immediately.
And then she comes in four volumes (logical for a quintet ..). Through volumes 2 to 4, we follow other protagonists of the event. Then, the last volume, entitled The Fall gives us the keys to everything. And it gives us the identity of the narrator. One last volume came out: an epilogue to close the loop.

Franck Giroud - The Decalogue (3)

Sequels and spin-off

The Eleventh commandment
There is no question here of a volume itself . Indeed, as I said before, the ten volumes presented above are sufficient to read and understand the series. They were provided alone at home. Then Frank Giroud realized he still had a wealth of information with all the research he has done. In addition, many people were asking the exact path Nahik and people encountered throughout the ten independent stories. This volume is his answer.

It was necessary to reinforce the illusion of consistency throughout to explain what had happened to the protagonists. But it was not enough to simply Giroud explain these details. He wanted this volume is another important explanatory. The importance of narrative that tried to give the other volumes. He then left it to Luke Revillon to build a frame that would bring these fictional characters. From there, our writer has written five short stories illustrated by artists who had worked on the original volumes.

The result is stunning. The real and the imaginary merge in a quest for truth. The stories written in a dozen pages are bound archival documents sometimes true and sometimes fictitious. It is then not easy to separate the false from true. Volume one extra one might think dispensable, Frank Giroud us lays a useful and enjoyable album to reading.

The legatee (with Joseph & Camille Meyer Béhé)
The appointment of Glasgow

There the story is more concentrated on Nahik but the protagonists of the first and second volume. We find in Glasgow the young fundamentalist of Fatwa. He changed. Time passed and reflection with. He wants to redeem himself, but he is forced to flee. Finally, he finds himself in Scotland because he saw the book 'The mark of the prophet, who happens to be a simple translation of Nahik. Besides, the killer of Clyde (which raged in the manuscript) is still talking about him. Amidst this, there is the widow of the writer who has just translated Nahik and fortune with.

You mix them together and you get a thriller in five volumes. Indie thriller series motherboard. Indeed, the characters were born, but the references are explained each time. Even if you have not read the Ten Commandments, you will understand if you read the legatee nevertheless. Only the first volume came out yet. But this volume it prefigured a great series such intrigues are numerous and rich.
These days, the fifth volume appeared on the shelves of your bookstore.

The Fleury-Nadal (with Joseph & Camille Meyer Béhé)
Ninon

This is the second The spin-off after legatee. Unlike the series that I mentioned just now, Nahik completely disappears from the skyline. Indeed, this is no issue here. In contrast, we find the family at the center of the whole saga: the Fleury-Nadal. Remember. Eugene was Nadal who was found with the help of the painter Desnouettes the scapula and the Decalogue. Nahik and is the work of his brother under his own ramblings. And finally, the novel's publication is the result of a Fleury-Nadal for the sake of an insurgent.

The principle of this series is to write ones-shots or stories in two volumes on the members of this family. The designers will be he who created the character (like here Lucien Rollin) or guests. The interest for the writer is to continue to expand the mythology surrounding Nahik and visiting French history through the eyes of actors. A series in the making.
Already four volumes have been released today.

Now you know what you have to do. Reading awaits you, but playing quality. Then afterwards, you can also take on the new series from writer: Quintett. But that's another story. And another stroke of genius of a writer of talent.
