Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons - Watchmen

The clock is ticking. Apocalypse.
The clock is ticking. Blood everywhere. The streets are the scene of the panic room
The clock is ticking. The guards are there. But who guards the guardians?
They are all powerful and forbidden. Yet there in the shadows. A simple murder. That of the actor. One of the latest superhero yet legally authorized by the Government of the United States to practice vigilante. They are two: he and Dr. Manhattan. Then die of old superhero. One after the other. Conspiracy? Mere coincidence?
Rorschach (named after the well-known psychological test ... If you know the one where it shows the tasks for patients who must say what they are ...) will immediately see a plot against the super-hero's investigation. But everyone knows he is paranoid. His investigation will lead him, he and two of his former comrades to ride into a dark conspiracy on a global scale. This threat is not she a new fantasy from these super-hero on the back ...?

I'm a fan of Alan Moore. He knows the lead characters wherever he wants while reinventing every page. It is accompanied by the artist Dave Gibbons, who serves up a deliciously retro design that sticks to this atmosphere of suspicion and menace room. Once again the story is very well put together. The historical and cultural references abound. Alan Moore once again demonstrates his genius screenplay. The design is not linear, it will be eaten, dives, we discover with each reading of the details: a convincing scenario!

drawings, high quality, can surprise a novice at first because of their bright colors and flashy. And symbiosis between the two artists has resulted in a very retro design as I said. But the mood is there. The scenario is vividly highlighted by the drawing as accurate as the aggressive colors.
In conclusion, we want more and I think the term masterpiece is here purely appropriate! Great art awarded the prize for best foreign comic at Angouleme and the price Hugo (rewarding the masterpieces of science fiction ...)
